The company was founded in 1946 by Peter Cremer and continues to be a family-run enterprise to this very day. Currently, the Cremer Gruppe is run by second generation business partners, Stefan and Thomas Cremer. At present, the Cremer Gruppe com- prises a host of different companies across the globe. This international network in commodity trade, commodity processing, oleochemical products and shipping are all coordinated from the Cremer Gruppe's head office located in Hamburg, Germany.
From the outset, the Cremer Gruppe has focussed its business policy on responsible and reliable management coupled with flexibility and innovative thinking. In 2007 around 900 people in Germany as well as a further 400 worldwide generated a trading volume exceeding 12,5 million metric tonnes.
